Welcome to Tyler School of Art and Architecture

The Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University educates and inspires students to be active participants in society while developing their creative and social impact, individual expression, and innovation. We are a collaborative community of thinkers and makers.

As a student at Tyler, you’ll receive the support and resources you need to develop and define your craft. Students have the space, technology, and tools they need to go wherever their creative vision takes them. This includes access to studio spaces, lecture halls, collaboration spaces, an expansive green courtyard, an academic advising center, a cafe, exhibition spaces, and Temple Contemporary—Tyler's visionary center for public programming. Tyler's 50,000-square-foot Architecture Building features three floors of studios and digital and analog and research fabrication. Tyler's Landscape Architecture and Horticulture programs are based at Temple's expansive, suburban Ambler Campus, where students have access to greenhouses, a 187-acre arboretum, an aquaponics lab, a technology center and more.

Our students prepare to make valuable contributions in a range of fields, through the strength of their creative and technical skills, their ability to visualize solutions to problems, and their personal vision informed by social and civic responsibility.
