Two Klein alumni created a line of lipsticks that sold out in 48 hours

Camille Bell ’15

After seeing the lack of inclusivity in the makeup industry, Camille Bell decided to make a change. With the help of fellow Klein alum Jonathan Velazquez ’18, Bell established Pound Cake Cosmetics, a pro-Black, pro-queer, pro-fat company that is taking the industry by storm. They launched in September 2021 and sold out their five shades of lipstick in just 48 hours.

Jada Bromberg ’26

While many first-year students wait until their second semester to get involved in extracurricular activities on campus, freshman communication studies (CMST) student Jada Bromberg jumped right in within weeks of starting at Temple University in August 2022. After attending Klein College of Media and Communication's Preview Day, Bromberg decided to join the CMST recruitment and social media teams. She has also been to several Asian Student Association and Active Minds meetings, and joined OwlCappella and the Music Technology & Business Society.

Gavin Joyce has spent his last four years at Temple University actively seeking music industry experiences and ways to develop his public relations skills through internships and extracurricular organizations. Through his time working with Live Nation, the Adult Swim Festival and Brian Communications, Joyce was able to combine his love of writing and talking with his love of music at Temple.

Klein alum lands job as an associate segment producer at Good Morning America

Nic Uff ’22

Nic Uff started as a booking intern at Good Morning America in January 2022 and worked full-time until May 2022. The morning news show then offered him a full-time position as an associate segment producer. Now, Uff can be found in New York City or anywhere GMA sends him for a story—he has already traveled to Memphis and is looking forward to traveling more to immerse himself in more stories. “There’s a feeling that I get in the control room that ensures me that I’m doing what I love.”

Transfer student runs program to teach young women entrepreneurial and life skills

Brittany Dudley ’24

Brittany Dudley and her sister recently finished the first session of the program they created, McClam University, which aims to help middle school and high school girls from low income and urban communities navigate everyday life. Over the course of four months, the first session of ten girls met twice a month to learn about everything from ways to better the businesses they run to life skills like budgeting and taking care of your mental health. “We wanted it to be a program where the girls can walk out of this with something.”

Klein alum heads to ESPN to be an anchor on SportsCenter

Max McGee ’15

Max McGee has always had a passion for sports. After a long road of sports broadcasting roles, McGee’s dreams were finally realized in January 2022 when he moved up to Bristol, Connecticut, to start his new job at SportsCenter on ESPN. “I’ve always wanted to work at ESPN. I think that’s what every young sports reporter wants to do. You know, with the best of the best,” said the Klein College of Media and Communication alum. McGee is projected to be an anchor on SportsCenter at night and is currently completing job training.

Alum returns to Philadelphia to pursue job as sports anchor at Fox 29

Breland Moore ’14

After working in Allentown, PA; Rochester, NY; and Kansas City, MO; Moore has returned to Philadelphia to work as a sports anchor at Fox 29 Philadelphia. “In sports journalism, you don't really get a ton of downtime to get your feet wet and get acclimated. You kind of have to jump right in. It's just constantly a go-go-go type of atmosphere, but that's what makes it fun.”
