While Student Financial Services helps students figure out how to finance their education and processes all financial aid requests, it doesn’t process tuition payments. The Bursar’s Office issues all student account statements for tuition, fees, university housing and meal plans, as well as information about your financial account.

TUpay is accessible via your TUportal account and is where you can

• view your current balance and payment due date,
• see a real-time view of your student account,
• make payments by electronic check or credit card, 
• check your refund status and sign up for direct deposit, and
• create an Authorized Payer, such as a parent or guardian who you grant access to TUpay on your behalf. Watch a video to learn more about Authorized Payers.

Students are encouraged to pay the total account balance by the due date to avoid any late fees. We do understand it’s not always possible to make a full payment at one time, so we offer two payment plans to help students and their families finance a Temple education.

Deferred Payment Plan is for students who have not paid their total account balance. They’re automatically enrolled in this plan if they do not pay in total, and it provides extra time to pay the balance. Though, a $50 fee is charged for each semester a balance exists. 

Temple Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) is an interest-free, prepayment plan administered on behalf of Temple by Higher Education Services, Inc. (HES). The plan allows Temple students to make up to 10 regularly scheduled monthly payments, beginning in May, toward their future charges (five payments for fall semester and five for spring).
